Dani Timmins: Do I look stupid?
Synopsis
A psychic medium attempts to uncover the truth behind her sister’s murder at a crime scene. Oddity as a whole was made up of elements that McCarthy “carefully selected from horror tropes”. The wooden man was inspired by Jewish folklore about a golem, a large clay figure that can come to life through rituals and carry out the commands of its creator. Dani Timmins: [who is blind] I have no idea what you look like.
You sound stupid
Yana: Excuse me? Dani Timmins: Do I look stupid? Yana: No. Dani Timmins: My sister and I were identical, so that must mean she didn’t look stupid.

There’s a River written by Harry Bird. Performed by Harry Bird and the Hot Drop Records Rubber Wellies. I’ve pretty much stopped watching horror movies over the years. To me, most of them are essentially comedies, unintentionally.
But even then it was definitely worth watching
I rarely feel uncomfortable watching a movie, but this one did. The acting was good and even though it was essentially made on a low budget, it didn’t feel that way to me. Carolyn Bracken did an amazing job with her roles and I’d love to see more of her in the future. It was a pretty basic movie and of course there were plot holes and points that didn’t make sense…
It wasn’t necessary and only detracted from the positive aspects
I do wish they had removed the last scene of the movie.
