Synopsis
Nate Busco has spent 12 of his 17 years in the past. Tired of being bounced from foster home to foster home, he now lives in his car, lives off corn, and uses track practice as a shower. When night falls, he couldn’t be more different from his confident, cocky self at school. Haunted only by the traumatic memories of his past. Enter Stan Dean, a popular high school drama teacher dealing with his own problems. He sees Nate’s latent talent and needs the care and guidance that no other teacher has, and he wants to help. But in a surprising turn of events, Nate is arrested on his way to school and left in handcuffs. Stan follows Nate to the police station and not only bails him out, but he also agrees to take Nate to his own house, despite the raised eyebrows of his fellow teachers. Stan is willing to do anything to help his troubled student. But the question is, if you’re not willing to help yourself, can you really help anyone?
