Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and bizarre film. With a tight budget and the threat of being fired, Katie happily takes the job. The video footage shows people being tortured and even murdered – it’s certainly a carefully choreographed fabrication. But when her first job leads to even more lucrative work and disturbingly realistic snuff films, Katie’s life begins to fall apart. Strange figures appear in her apartment, nightmares keep her awake, and her cat suffers from a mysterious illness. It’s only when Katie finally decides to quit her job that she learns just how cruel her anonymous employer is and what bloody measures she’ll take to get out of the contract.
